Do you ever feel lost
when you're writing?

As a beginner learning a language, sometimes you don't know what you want to say.

It can be hard even knowing where to start.

The problem with most writing books...

For beginners, the problem with many writing practice books (including our intermediate series) is that they lack guided learning.

"What is your hobby?"

"Have you ever been to Korea?"

"Do you like cats or dogs?"

Questions like these are great, but sometimes when you're only given

a bunch of questions, and blank writing space, it can be overwhelming.

This book breaks down ONE prompt at a time, letting you get familiar with the topic and helping you figure out what you want to write!

Focus on ONE question
per chapter

Each of the 10 reoccurring activity pages in every chapter highlights a different aspect of the ONE main question.

Working your way through these various activities:

1. gets you familiar with the topic,

2. helps you figure out what you want to say, and

3. guides you to create a fuller answer to the question.

See an example answer

Each chapter begins with an example answer.

Use this example to practice your reading, and to pick out useful

vocabulary words and grammar forms.

Think about what your own answer might sound like.

Develop your Answer

Before you jump into writing a full answer it helps to

brainstorm what you want to say.

Each chapter gives you 4 extra questions related to the main idea,

plus several example sentences to inspire your answers.

These related questions will help you create the details you can use to build a longer, fuller response later on.

Write your own response

Finally, you are given space to write your own response using the skills and sentences you've developed throughout the chapter!

There are two writing sections:

1. A place for your own free writing answer

2. A place to write a corrected answer

What you write is entirely up to you, so there are no right or wrong answers for you to check here.

However, we encourage you to get your writing checked by a language teacher/tutor, or by using a free app like HelloTalk.

Fun & Effective

Spending time on one topic and exploring it thoroughly gives you the confidence and the skills to build sentences.

When you have fun building relevant sentences, you retain more information.

By getting your sentences checked, you actively learn from your mistakes and improve your skills.
